What We Buy
From the Classic Flap to the WOC
The Classic Flap in every size, the 2.55 Reissue, the Boy Bag, the Wallet on Chain, the Chanel 19, the Gabrielle, Deauville totes, Coco Handle and Trendy CC bags, and vintage pieces from decades back. We also buy Chanel wallets, card holders and cosmetic cases.
Chanel's core styles hold their value about as well as anything in the designer market. That's exactly why the authentication and condition details below matter so much to the number you're offered.
Authentication
Serial Stickers, Cards and Quilting
Most Chanel bags made before around 2021 have a serial sticker inside, and many came with an authenticity card carrying the same number. Newer bags have a microchip instead of the sticker. A matching card helps, but cards and stickers get faked too, so they're never the whole check.
We look at how the quilting lines up across the flap and the back pocket, the stitch density, the CC turn-lock and its screws, the weight of the chain and how the leather is woven through it, and the heat stamp inside. Real Chanel is consistent in all of them at once.
Condition
Caviar, Lambskin and Corners
Caviar leather is pebbled and tough, and it usually comes through years of use in good shape. Lambskin is softer and shows scuffs, scratches and corner wear sooner. Both sell; the offer follows the condition.
What we look at closest: the corners, whether the quilting has kept its shape, color transfer on light colors, wear to the finish on the hardware, and the inside of the flap. A bag that's kept its shape and its hardware finish gets the strongest number.
Bring the Extras
Card, Box and Dust Bag
Bring the authenticity card if you have it, plus the box, dust bag, receipt and any ribbon or camellia that came with it. They help confirm the bag and add to what it's worth.
None of it is required. A gifted or inherited Chanel with nothing but the bag itself is still worth bringing in.
