Sell Your Louis Vuitton in NYC
Neverfull, Speedy, Keepall, Alma, Pochette Métis, wallets and small leather goods. We check your bag at the counter in front of you and pay cash the same day, or put the value toward a bag in our case.
What We Buy
Every Canvas, Every Era
Monogram, Damier Ebène, Damier Azur, Epi and Empreinte leather, current pieces and vintage ones. The styles we see most at the counter are the everyday workhorses: the Neverfull, the Speedy and Speedy Bandoulière, the Keepall, the Alma and the Pochette Métis, plus Zippy wallets, card holders and key pouches.
Louis Vuitton is one of the few houses where well-used pieces still have a real market. A Speedy with years of honey patina on the handles is still a Speedy, and plenty of buyers like it that way. Not sure yours is worth the trip? Text a photo first.
Authentication
Date Codes, Chips and Stitching
Most Louis Vuitton bags made from the early 1980s until around 2021 carry a date code, a short run of letters and numbers stamped inside that says where and when the bag was made. Bags made since then have a microchip instead, so a newer bag with no date code isn't a red flag.
The code is only one check. We look at the heat stamp lettering, the stitching on the handle tabs, how the monogram lines up across the seams, and the weight and engraving of the hardware. Counterfeits get the canvas print close; they rarely get all of it right at once. If something doesn't pass, we tell you exactly what we're seeing.
Condition
What Moves the Number
The handles, trim and piping on most canvas pieces are vachetta, an untreated leather that darkens with use. An even honey patina is normal. What lowers an offer is damage: water spots and dark stains on the vachetta, cracked handle edges, worn-through corners and canvas cracking at the folds.
The inside matters too. Some older pieces have linings that turn sticky or flake with age, and strong odors are hard to fix. None of that means we won't buy it. It means the offer reflects what the next owner will be looking at.
Bring the Extras
Pouches, Straps and the Box
Bring everything that came with it: the dust bag, box and receipt, and especially the pieces that belong to the bag itself, like the pouch on a Neverfull, the strap on a Speedy Bandoulière, or the name tag and lock on a Keepall. Missing parts are one of the easiest ways to lose money on a Louis Vuitton.
None of it is required. A gifted or inherited bag without a receipt is fine as long as it passes authentication.
