What We Buy
New Classics and Old Ones
The GG Marmont, Jackie 1961, Horsebit 1955, Dionysus, Ophidia, Soho Disco, Diana and Bamboo, plus belt bags, backpacks, wallets and card holders. Vintage Gucci is welcome too, from GG canvas Bostons to old Bamboo top-handles.
Gucci's market moves with fashion more than some houses, so the number depends a lot on which style you have and how current it feels. Text a photo and we'll tell you where yours stands.
Authentication
The Tag, the Canvas and the Hardware
Most modern Gucci bags have a leather tag inside stamped with the Gucci name and “made in Italy” on the front and a serial number on the back. Many also came with a small controllato card. We check the tag's lettering and spacing, and that the serial makes sense for the style.
Then the build: the GG pattern on Supreme canvas should run straight and even, the web stripe should be cleanly woven, and the hardware should be heavy with crisp logos. Counterfeit Gucci is common, and it usually gives itself away on more than one of these.
Condition
Corners, Trim and Hardware
GG Supreme is coated canvas and holds up well, but the leather trim and corners show wear first. Marmont's quilted leather scuffs and can lose its shape. Jackie and Horsebit hardware can show scratches and wear to the finish.
Light wear is normal and fine. Cracked trim, peeling edges, broken zippers and a stained interior are what bring the offer down.
Bring the Extras
Dust Bag, Box and Card
Bring the dust bag, box, receipt, controllato card and any strap that came with the bag. They help confirm it and add to its value.
None of it is required. Gifted and inherited bags are welcome as long as they pass authentication.
