What We Buy

Birkin, Kelly and Everything Around Them

The Birkin and Kelly in any size and leather, plus the Constance, Evelyne, Picotin Lock, Garden Party, Lindy, Herbag and Bolide. We also buy Hermès wallets and card holders like the Béarn, Dogon and Calvi.

Birkins and Kellys are high-value pieces, so text us photos before you come in. That way we can give you a rough number up front and set time aside at the counter. For the largest purchases we can pay by check as well as cash.

Authentication

Blind Stamps, Stitching and Hardware

Hermès bags carry a blind stamp, a small letter pressed into the leather that dates the bag, along with the craftsman's mark. On a Birkin or Kelly, the lock and keys carry a matching number.

Then there's the work itself: hand saddle stitching that runs at a slight slant, smoothly finished edges, the heat stamp lettering, and hardware engraved and weighted the way Hermès does it. High-end fakes copy the shape well. The details are where they fall apart, and we'll show you what we're looking at.

Condition

Leather, Corners and Shape

Hermès uses many leathers, and they wear differently. Togo and Clemence are grained and forgiving. Epsom is stiff and holds its shape. Box calf and Swift are smooth and show scratches and water marks sooner.

We look at the corners, the handles, the shape (a slouching Birkin is worth less than a crisp one), scratches on the hardware, and whether the inside is clean. Unused bags, especially with the protective film still on the hardware, sit at the top of the range.

Bring the Extras

Box, Dust Bag, Rain Cover, Clochette

Bring everything: the orange box, dust bag, receipt and rain cover, and for a Birkin or Kelly the clochette, lock and keys. On a Kelly, the shoulder strap. With Hermès, a complete set makes a real difference to the offer.

If some of it is missing, still bring the bag. Nothing is required as long as it passes authentication.

FAQ

Hermès Questions

What sellers ask us most at the counter.

Do you buy Hermès Birkin and Kelly bags?
Yes, in any size and leather, along with the Constance, Evelyne, Picotin, Garden Party, Lindy and other styles. Text photos first for a Birkin or Kelly so we can give you a rough number up front.
How do you pay for a Birkin?
Same day, in cash, or by check for the largest purchases. Text photos first so we can set time aside at the counter.
What is a blind stamp?
A small letter pressed into the leather that tells you when the bag was made, alongside the craftsman's mark. It's one of several things we check, together with the stitching, the hardware and the heat stamp.
Does the leather type change the offer?
It can. Togo, Clemence and Epsom tend to hold up well, while smooth leathers like Box calf and Swift show scratches and water marks sooner. Condition and completeness matter most.
Do I need the box and receipt?
No, though with Hermès a complete set (box, dust bag, rain cover, clochette, lock and keys) adds real value. Bring whatever you have.
Do you buy Hermès wallets and small leather goods?
Yes. Béarn and Dogon wallets, Calvi card holders and other small leather goods.
