What We Buy
Totes, Messengers and Card Holders
The Saint Louis and Anjou totes in every size, the Artois, the Saigon, the Belvedere messenger, the Rouette and the Senat pouch, plus wallets and card holders like the Saint Sulpice and Matignon.
The Saint Louis and Anjou are the styles we see most, and they hold their value well, especially when they still have the pouch they came with.
Authentication
Goyardine Canvas, Stamps and Stitching
Goyardine canvas is printed in layers, so the chevron pattern has a slightly raised feel you can catch with a fingertip. Fakes are often flat, with softer chevrons that drift off line at the seams.
We also check the heat stamp on the leather, the stitching on the trim, the hardware, and on totes, the pouch that comes with the bag. If something doesn't line up, we'll show you.
Condition
Corners, Handles and the Inside
Goyardine is tough, but the corners and leather trim show wear first, and handle edges can crack. The inside of a Saint Louis is canvas and picks up stains.
Personalized bags with painted initials or stripes are welcome. They can narrow the pool of buyers a little, and we'll factor that in honestly.
Bring the Extras
The Pouch Matters
The Saint Louis and Anjou come with a removable pouch, and a bag that still has it is worth more. Bring the dust bag, receipt and anything else that came with it too.
None of it is required. Gifted and inherited bags are welcome as long as they pass authentication.
